This Southfield, Michigan project features a large-scale StruXure Pergola Pivot 6 system installed at Plum Hollow Country Club, an exclusive club overlooking the 18th green. The club previously relied on a temporary fabric tent structure that had to be installed and removed each season. After a wind storm caused significant damage to the tent and the clubhouse itself, they decided to invest in a permanent solution. The Skyview team designed and installed a custom 4-zone StruXure system measuring 12 by 48 feet, creating a durable, high-end outdoor space that enhances the member experience. Now, the patio is one of the most enjoyed features of the club, offering both functionality and a refined aesthetic that matches the property.

This project features a 12 by 48 foot StruXure Pergola Pivot 6 system configured across four zones to cover a large patio area at Plum Hollow Country Club. The system provides adjustable shade, long-term durability, and a clean architectural look that aligns with the club’s high-end environment.

The club had been relying on a seasonal tent structure that required setup and teardown each year and did not hold up well over time. After a wind storm caused the structure to fail and damage the clubhouse, the goal became clear: invest in a permanent solution that would perform better, look better, and eliminate ongoing maintenance concerns. The new pergola needed to enhance the member experience while standing up to Michigan weather.
