This project at Chicane restaurant in Old Village Plymouth, Michigan showcases a custom-designed StruXure pergola system built to support a high-end restaurant and event space. Working alongside the ownership team and architect, we created a three-zone outdoor structure that seamlessly extends the ballroom and enhances the guest experience year-round.
A three-zone pergola system designed to elevate a restaurant and event space.
This project features a large three-zone StruXure pergola system at Chicane restaurant in Old Village Plymouth, MI, integrated directly off the back of the restaurant’s ballroom. The space is enhanced with MagnaTrack solar screens and Bromic heaters, allowing guests to comfortably gather, dine, and celebrate in a refined outdoor environment.

After acquiring and fully renovating the property, the ownership team at Chicane wanted to create an outdoor space that matched the elevated interior experience. The goal was to design a flexible, weather-protected area that could function as an extension of the ballroom for weddings, private events, and everyday dining.

Bromic Heaters
Multiple Bromic heaters were integrated into the pergola system to extend the usability of the space into colder months. This ensures guests remain comfortable during evening events, shoulder seasons, and early spring or late fall gatherings.
StruXure Pergolas
The centerpiece of this project is a custom three-zone StruXure pergola system designed to provide maximum flexibility for the restaurant’s event operations. The motorized louvered roof allows staff to quickly adjust for sun, shade, or rain, ensuring the space remains usable in a wide range of conditions.
MagnaTrack Screens
MagnaTrack solar screens were installed around the perimeter of the structure to provide protection from wind and direct sunlight while maintaining airflow and visibility. This allows the space to remain comfortable without sacrificing the open-air feel.
