Built by Skyview Detroit, the project combines StruXure framing with a polycarbonate roof system to create a space that feels open, protected, and filled with soft, natural light.

Unlike a traditional pergola, the StruXure Poly system offers full overhead coverage while still allowing daylight to filter through. Paired with Aere Wall window systems and a wood-burning stove, the space adapts easily to changing conditions, creating a comfortable environment for relaxing in nearly any season.

It needed to feel comfortable, protected, and usable across multiple seasons, while still maintaining an open, natural atmosphere. This custom design delivered that balance, combining shelter, light, and flexibility into one cohesive space.

This project features a StruXure Poly system, combining the structural integrity of StruXure framing with a polycarbonate roof. This approach provides full protection from the elements while allowing natural light to filter through, creating a bright but comfortable environment. Aere Wall systems were installed around the structure, featuring aluminum frames with flexible vinyl panels and integrated screens. These panels can be adjusted to open or close the space, allowing for ventilation, airflow, and adaptability depending on the weather.
